My name is Barry Weidner and I am the founder of CrossFit Generation. I am a certified strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a CrossFit Certified Trainer. I am also a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach. With over 12 years in the fitness industry and clients from 12-60 years of age, I have seen all the fads, trends, gimmicks, and ineffective fitness programs that have come around and believe me, whatever you read in magazines, on the internet, and from what you've heard from those big globo-gym trainers at Bally’s, Golds, and LA Fitness is all worthless. I was a collegiate soccer player at Marymount University in Virginia and was really into lifting weights and pushing myself in that aspect. I got very bored after a while and then I discovered CrossFit in February 2006 and have been committed to everything that CrossFit is founded on ever since. My training and experience with CrossFit has taken my physical and mental training to new heights. Individuals that I have trained with CrossFits' methods have discovered a fitness level they never knew possible. Don’t waste any more time meandering around huge globo-gyms from machine to machine and not seeing any results. CrossFit is, without a doubt, the most effective and efficient fitness program in the world and becoming a part of it will be one of the best decisions you will make for your body.
If you want to get in the best shape of your life, then train with CrossFit Generation and take your physical fitness levels to a place they have never been. Don’t waste your time any more with fitness programs and routines that are not giving you the results you want. Train and move the way your body was designed to, with constantly varied, high intensity functional movements. You are how you train!!

My name is Jocelyn Weidner and I am co-owner of CrossFit Generation. I have been in the fitness industry for 5 years with a BA in Health and Exercise Science from Gettysburg College. Before my professional career began, I was a competitive swimmer for 10 years and played 4 years of collegiate field hockey at Gettysburg. I have always been interested in fitness and knew I’d make a career of it because of the passion I have for working with people to increase their quality of life through exercise.
Barry introduced me to CrossFit in 2006. Before CrossFit, a typical training session for me consisted of weight training and the elliptical. I spent many hours on that elliptical day after day after day. Of course after a while I hit a plateau and knew something had to change. I was bored, not seeing the results I wanted and just plain sick and tired of the monotony of my workouts. I began doing CrossFit and realized this type of training was just what I was looking for. It was intense and always changing giving my competitive, athletic side the challenge it needed each and every workout. At first, I used CrossFit on my off days while I trained for a marathon and it was a perfect compliment to my running workouts. After running 2 marathons, I turned to CrossFit full time.
Currently I work for a corporate fitness company as the Director of Training and Education. I’ve trained many clients with the CrossFit methodologies because in the corporate fitness world a lot of clients only have 30 minutes to workout during their busy workday. The only effective way I’ve found to train those types of people who are on time restrictions and want the best bang for their buck, is with CrossFit. It appeals to any personality and gets results.
My goal is to help everyone realize their potential and realize that getting into great shape and hitting personal goals can be both the hardest challenge of their life AND fun. That’s the magic of it all. Come in to CrossFit Generation and see what it’s all about.

My name is Kari Ridley and I am an assistant coach at CrossFit Generation. Before CrossFit, a typical workout for me consisted of running, running, and then some more running with the occasional spinning class at the local globo gym thrown in. After getting fed up with putting in a ton of time and seeing very little results, I decided it was time to try something new.
Barry and Jocelyn introduced me to CrossFit in 2007 and I have never looked back! CrossFit has taken me to levels of physical and mental health, strength, and performance I never thought I’d achieve. Using my newfound strength, power and endurance, I competed in the CrossFit Games regional qualifiers in 2009 and 2010 individual and affiliate cup competitions. In January 2010, I received my CrossFit Level I certification
As a coach at CrossFit Generation, I look forward to sharing the benefits of CrossFit as well as the community and camaraderie of CrossFit Generation with others. I want to help each and every one of our athletes achieve their personal goals and become the best they can be.

My name is Vince Ridley and I am an assistant coach at CrossFit Generation. Prior to arriving at CFG, my workouts generally consisted of falling in and out of routines at local chain gyms. I discovered CrossFit in 2008 and have been training under Barry and Jocelyn for over two years. During this time I have seen amazing improvements in strength, speed, stamina and general physical fitness. As a result, I have been able to compete in the 2009 and 2010 CrossFit Games regional qualifiers both as an individual and as a representative of CFG in the affiliate competition. I have also competed in open water swims, 5K runs, and the Broad Street Run multiple times and workouts at CFG have improved my times in all three events.
I graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Environmental Engineering and I am currently a certified science teacher in Physics and Earth Science. I received my CrossFit Level 1 Certification in January 2010 and I look forward to helping you achieve and break through your goals whether they be fitness or otherwise.
The quality of a workout at CFG can’t be beat and is a world apart from LA Fitness, Planet Fitness, and the like. The amazing atmosphere brings a level of intensity and camaraderie that can’t be found anywhere else. Whether you are looking to excel at a sport or just improve you general fitness, nothing beats working out at CrossFit Generation.

My name is Lauren Pace and I am a kids coach for CrossFit Generation. I found CrossFit in April 2008 about two months before my wedding and saw instant results. Before joining CrossFit Generation I could be found using the cardio equipment at the local LA Fitness. Although the monotony and boredom set in long before I found CrossFit, I did not know of any other ways to get a more effective workout. CrossFit was exactly what I was looking for. The CrossFit workouts are challenging, intense, and always different, forcing me to test my own limits and then exceed them.
Being a member of CFG has changed my life in so many ways. Not only do I feel confident, powerful, and strong, but I have accomplished fitness goals that I never thought were possible. Through the support and coaching of Barry and Jocelyn I have pushed myself above and beyond what I ever thought was physically capable. I am officially hooked and look forward to continuing to challenge myself and surpass my physical boundaries.
I am currently a second grade teacher at Blair Mill Elementary School. I am thrilled to be one of the CrossFit Kids coaches. I think that my teaching background will benefit this kids program in numerous, exciting ways. I look forward to teaching the proper forms and techniques necessary to become strong, successful, and self-confident CrossFit Kids both in and out of the gym.

My name is Bryan Whiteside and I am an assistant coach at CrossFit Generation. I have my BS in Kinesiology from Penn State University with an emphasis in applied fitness. Currently I am the Fitness Director/Personal Trainer for a health and fitness club in Warrington. I started my career in fitness after I received my ACE personal training certification upon graduation. Over the past few years I have trained clients individually, in small groups and in group exercise settings (even spinning!). With over 8 years of experience in the field I have learned many different training philosophies but it was in 2010 that I found CrossFit and it changed my life! I began studying CrossFit’s philosophies and incorporating them into my own training using a variety of functional movements, integrating gymnastics and performing Olympic lifts. When I started training some of my clients using these methods, they began to see results quickly both physically and mentally. Through my passion for fitness, I will continue to motivate, challenge and encourage others to change their lives as CrossFit has done for me!
